Medical insurance

We are affiliated with all major health insurance providers. In many cases, we can arrange pre-approval and book your surgery at your first visit. In most cases, we can arrange payment directly from your insurance company.

No medical insurance

Many patients do not have medical insurance and we will do whatever we can to provide you with flexible payment options to suit your budget. We offer a range of payment options to suit everyone and if you wish you can pay for your surgery in instalments over 12 months.

Travelling to Hamilton?

For patients travelling from outside the Waikato region, we can often arrange assessment and surgery on the same day if required. If you would like to stay overnight in Hamilton we can arrange a follow-up visit the next morning before you return home.

Payment options

Payment plans can be arranged to pay for your surgery over time if required. These plans are provided on enquiry only so please contact us prior to your appointment if you would like to arrange this.

• No charge for ACC/injury-related visits if your injury is covered by ACC

Cataract surgery pricing

• $7,866 +GST (both eyes completed on the same day)* book appointment now

Vision correction surgery pricing (with a monofocal intraocular lens)

• $4,065 +GST (single eye)* book appointment now

• $7,866 +GST (both eyes completed on the same day)* book appointment now

Pterygium / pinguecula / conjunctival lesion removal surgery

• $3,000-$3,800 +GST (single eye)* book appointment now

Corneal crosslinking surgery

• $2,800-$3150 +GST (per eye)* book appointment now

ACC approved surgery

• No charge if your injury is covered by ACC. Please note that a case-by-case ACC approval process is required for all accident-related cases that require surgery. We will complete this process on your behalf if surgery is required.

Corneal transplantation surgery

• Please contact us for more information regarding pricing for corneal transplantation. Pricing can vary significantly based on your particular clinical needs and the type of transplant, anaesthetic and perioperative care required.

Cataract surgery and vision correction prices above include a standard high-quality intraocular lens.  Premium/special intraocular lenses may involve additional costs if required.
